These CMS / PAC Stage 2 Valve Springs for the 5.0L Coyote are a drop in design and will work with the factory retainers and seals. These Springs are an excellent upgrade over stock and work well for Forced Induction applications up to 18lbs of boost or so. The OEM VCT system can still be used with these Springs and will not need to be locked out.
For applications running more than 18lbs of boost, we suggest locking out the Ti-VCT system and stepping up to a higher pressure spring setup such as our Stage 3 or Stage 4.
